Somebody stole a ton of the Organ Pipe Cactus before we moved in. We noticed some laying on the driveway a few weeks ago and wondered what had hap'd... then our neighbor told us that she saw a truck there in the middle of the night and that they are worth money. If you cut the cactus and let it sit for 2 weeks you can re-plant them and they will root. She said they just sold some for $500.. We rescued two so far and have about 6 more to pick up off the ground and re-plant

Who the heck would do such a thing? That's terriblE! So glad you got to rescue some.
This is crazy! Too bad the neighbor lady didn't have some rock salt shells for those lovely people.
oh man, cindy. that sucks. i am however so excited to come see your new place. i will be in az for at least 5 days over thanksgiving. are you going to be around?
