You can stop by Leonard Knights Salvation Mountain, then hit up the Slab City Riot for the boys, bikes, beer and bands. Now that is worth the 5 hour drive, now I just need to figure out what to do with my attack dogs.
Salvation Mtn. Is worth the trip, but Leonard Knight is more than worth it. That guy is one of my favorites. There is a documentary about him and the Mtn. it is called "A life of childlike faith". Not to mention Salvation Mtn. is right down the road from one of the best/ grossest places in America; the Salton Sea.
Buzzy-I will look that up on Netflix now. I hope I can get some awesome shots and I can't wait to see the Salton Sea as well. I saw the thing on Leonard on VICE TV. I love stuff like this. AZ has some pretty rad spots as well.
